The State of Georgia’s 1st annual virtual supported employment celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month will honor the contributions of people with disabilities to the workforce and economy in Georgia. Plan to join Georgia Association of People Supporting Employment First (GAPSE) and the planning team for this important celebration!
Georgia’s employers who hire people with disabilities are vital to the overall success of workers with disabilities. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce, representing many of Georgia’s businesses, is a participating partner in this state-wide celebration event.
The Georgia Municipal Association and the Association of County Commissioners will join us in praising the contributions of people with disabilities to county and municipal governments. Mayor Julie Smith, the first Vice President of GMA and Commissioner Melissa Hughes, 2nd Vice President of ACCG will share their support and experience as employers.
Join us on October 28th from Noon to 1:30 p.m. in honoring local employers, their employees, and supported employment professionals.
