Please join us on Thursday, June 25th for our webinar, “How to Effectively Engage with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Families” Reehana Nisha and Safio Abdi.

Partnering with families to be better advocates for their children calls upon how we as service providers engage with them to understand their needs. This plays a very important role in any service delivery. This webinar will focus on how to better engage with culturally and linguistically diverse youths and families through the lens of equity.

Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):

  • Learn about how culture is perceived differently amongst CLD families
  • Learn from real life experiences of case managers working directly with families
  • Participants will gain knowledge of barriers CLD youths and their families face when working with professionals
  • Participants will understand the importance of language access
  • Participants will learn how to engage and work with effective interpreters
  • Resources (Transition Resource Guides in 9 languages), Interpreter Evaluation Tool and Guidelines
