Karen Gaffney, a young woman with Down Syndrome will share her experiences and offer insights from her own perspective on the Journey to Live a “Purpose Driven Life!”
Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):
Through this workshop, Karen Strives to:
- Inspire Employers to support meaningful job creation for employees with intellectual disabilities
- Inspire Job Coaches to create meaningful partnerships with Employers that will result in good paying jobs for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Inspire Caregivers and Job Seekers to create their personal network of support and resources for a successful job search.
- Karen will share tools and strategies for building a well-connected life for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including creating a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and lifelong learning.

*Please note: Wise maintains registration and attendance records for our events and training programs. Attendees that fully participate in events and/or complete training programs will receive a certificate to document full participation as back up for billing purposes. Wise is required to monitor participation in our courses and provide reports to our funding sources so that they may utilize these records in the course of their audits of programs. These reports may include actual time spent by attendee name, event/training title, county and state. Reports are provided to ensure there is documented proof of the appropriate use of government funds for the purposes of professional development.
