Arc of the Peninsulas
The Arc of the Peninsulas serves all ages. For adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities we offer Respite and Events, along with Community Engagement, Specialized Habilitation, Representative Payee, Healthy Relationships, and the Friday Night Social. The Arc of the Peninsulas’ Parent to Parent program services families with ages ranging from birth and beyond.
Respite Events currently include Coffee Club, ArcFilms, Bingo, Karaoke, Friday Night Social, monthly all-day outings. Past outings include Emerald City Comicon, Seattle Mariners Game, Seattle Art Museum, Tacoma Museum of Glass, Olympia Capitol Building.
Community Engagement helps connect individuals to resources in their community and supports them to participate, engage, and integrate into the community. Our Community Inclusion Specialist assist clients in a one-on-one setting to create and accomplish S.M.A.R.T goals that promote community inclusion and integration. Examples of goals: learning how to ride public transportation, finding a volunteer position, learning how to use social media appropriately, etc.
Specialized Habilitation support helps individuals learn how to navigate challenges, create healthy relationships, and enhance well-being. Individuals will receive support in learning or maintaining a range of life skills in any of the following categories: self-advocacy, safety awareness, self-empowerment, learning new skills, managing daily tasks, interpersonal effectiveness, effective social communication, and coping strategies for everyday life challenges
Representative Payee support helps individuals who receive Social Security benefits. Our financial counselors are experienced professionals who work confidently with clients to help them meet their personal and financial goals. This service is designed to provide personal assistance to help clients manage their monthly income, pay bills, stay on budget, and avoid predatory lending and financial exploitation.
Healthy Relationships is an 8-week course for participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are addressing an unmet educational need: what makes ANY relationship healthy or unhealthy. Education about healthy relationships gives participants practical information to help them establish and respect boundaries. This program teaches participants the concepts of respect, choice, and trust as well as details on identifying and reporting abuse. Our curriculum is based on the inherent value and worth we each possess as human beings.
The Friday Night Social, also known as “The Dance” is one of The Arc’s most popular program since 1978 and strives to increase social skills, meaningful participation, and self-determination, all in a recreational opportunity. It is an evening where the community comes together in a safe environment to have fun, meet friends, and of course, dance. Join us most Fridays from 4:00pm – 7:00pm to experience fun, laughter, a live DJ, full-service kitchen, and rotating themes. Adults 18+ only.
Parent to Parent (P2P) - P2P is a program gives support to parents, caregivers and family members through Support Groups, Family Fun Events, SibShops, and Teen Sibshops Annual Picnic, IEP Parent Partner Program and Educational Opportunities (IEP, Guardianships, Resources in Community).
SibShops and TeenSibshop are a quarterly events with a summer camp to bring siblings together whose brother or sister has a disability. An opportunity to have fun, have discussions, make new friends with siblings who can relate.
IEP Parent Partner Program -This program prepares parents to support other parents to navigate the special education system. IEP PARENT Partners are NOT professional advocates or legal representation. Rather, they provide knowledge and skills that empower the parent to successfully engage with their child's education. IEP Parent Partners are volunteers who will be matched with parents in need and provide support such as attending IEP meetings.

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) through the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) Naval Base Kitsap
Our services are for the active duty Navy service members and their families living in the Naval Base Kitsap area who have a qualifying family member with a special medical or education need(s). The dependent may be a qualifying dependent (spouse, child, parent/family).

Informing Families is a resource provided by the Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council, in partnership with the Developmental Disabilities Administration. Kitsap CHADD
CHADD (Children & Adults w/Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is a support & information resource for parents, AD/HD adults, educators, and health care professionals.
Doctors, therapists, and professionals share and answer questions at the monthly support group about ADHD and co-existing conditions. We are currently meeting via Zoom, but will resume in person when able.

Kitsap County Aging and Long Term Care
Free information and referrals about community services for people age 60+ or support for family/friend caregivers helping another adult of any age who is not already enrolled in DSHS Medicaid Long Term Care or DDA programs. A free consultation (does not provide a medical assessment or diagnosis) with a Dementia Specialist for family/friend caregivers and professionals helping an adult of any age living in Kitsap County (enrolled or not enrolled in Medicaid/DDA services), who has a dementia disorder or undiagnosed memory impairment, is also available. The consultation and trainings for professionals can provide information to better understand concerning behaviors, discussion of strategies to provide care, review of medications, and referrals to resources.

Kitsap Parent Child Assistance Program (PCAP)

PCAP provides 3 years of intensive, relationship-based case management to mothers who have used substances during their pregnancy and to their families as needed. Women can enter the program during pregnancy and up to 24 months post partum. They do not need to be in treatment for substance use disorder. Information is kept strictly confidential. The UW provides ongoing evaluation and training for Kitsap and all other PCAP sites statewide. Agape Unlimited is Kitsap PCAP's host agency.

Kitsap Special Assault Investigation and Victim Services (Kitsap S.A.I.V.S.)
Kitsap S.A.I.V.S. coordinates with participating agencies working to end Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Human Trafficking and Exploitation of Vulnerable Adults. Kitsap S.A.I.V.S. is an accredited Child Advocacy Center with the National Children's Alliance.
Korean Women's Association
Korean Women’s Association provides multi-cultural, multi-lingual human services, regardless of race or ethnic background, to diverse communities through education, socialization, advocacy and support. Since 1972, KWA has responded to the needs of Western Washington communities with programs for affordable housing, senior wellness, in- home care support, and benefit enrollment. In addition, KWA advocates for individuals seeking immigration and naturalization, escaping domestic violence situations, and needing health screenings. KWA operates offices in eleven Western Washington counties and employs more than 1400 employees.

Holly Ridge Center - Infant Toddler Program
Early intervention is a system of comprehensive services a family may need for their infant or toddler (birth to age 3) who has developmental delays and/or disabilities. It is designed to meet the individual needs of each child and family and enhance a child’s development in a variety of settings, including in their home, child care, preschool, and in their community.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR EARLY INTERVENTION?
Eligibility is based on a variety of measures including: standardized testing, parental report and clinical observation. Washington state’s eligibility requires a 25% delay (-1.50 standard deviation) in one or more area(s) of development or a diagnosis that has a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay.

BenefitU offers benefits planning services and resources to people in Kitsap County aged 14 and older who access services through DDA and have goals or questions about their disability related benefits. Initial intakes can be scheduled online via the BenefitU Service Eligibility page. Following intake, qualified individuals who have additional needs or goals will be connected with a Certified Benefits Planner to assist them with navigating their current situation and plan for the future.
In addition to benefits planning services, the BenefitU website is available to all individuals, families, and support professionals and provides a variety of resources and information to help create a better understand of disability related benefits.

Kitsap Public Health District
Kitsap Public Health Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs is a free program providing support for families and providers taking care of a child who has or is at risk to have a physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional condition. Our goal is to partner with our community to give each child a chance to reach his or her fullest potential. In order to facilitate coordinated care, a public health nurse can listen to your concerns; help a family find or coordinate medical providers and a medical home; help a family or provider access local resources and/or services for the child; provide information about local community resources, including parent support organizations and community coalitions. All children (birth to 18 years) who are at risk for or have a health or developmental condition, and the family needs help with accessing local resources, are eligible for coordination of care, regardless of income. Kitsap Public Health Nurse Family Partnership Program offers support to pregnant first time moms through early pregnancy into a child's second birthday. The expectant moms benefit by getting the care and support they need to have a healthy pregnancy. At the same time, new mothers develop a close relationship with a nurse who becomes a trusted resource they can rely on for advice on everything from safely caring for their child to taking steps to provide a stable, secure future for them both. Through the partnership, the nurse provides new moms with the confidence and the tools they need not only to assure a healthy start for their babies, but to envision a life of stability and opportunities for success for both mom and child. We are an licensed vendor with DDA. Clients can use their waiver funding to purchase items approved by DDA but not covered by insurance. We can purchase through any catalog.
We help clients purchase incontinence supplies, assistive technology, sensory items, adaptive clothing, adaptive bikes, and more.
Peninsula Community Health Services
Peninsula Community Health Services was founded in 1987 as a community clinic in downtown Bremerton and became a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in 1995. PCHS includes primary medical, dental, behavioral health counseling, substance use treatment, pharmacy services, and health education and promotion activities for all stages of life. Services are provided to all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. PCHS patients may qualify for a sliding fee discount based on their household income and family size. PCHS delivers a comprehensive and integrated approach to health care services and has many sites accredited as a Patient-Centered Medical and Dental Home by the Accreditation for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

A free consultation with a Dementia Specialist for family/friend caregivers and professionals helping an adult with memory impairment is also available (regardless of Medicaid or DDA enrollment). The consultation offers information to better understand behaviors of the person with memory impairment, strategies to provide care, review of medications, and referrals to additional resources.

The Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities Program (KCDD) supports individuals who experience a developmental disability and their families to lead full, integrated, active, and productive lives in Kitsap County. BKATS for Special Olympics Washington
BKATS Sports is a local organization that works in conjunction with Special Olympics Washington. We have been virtual for the past year doing Stride BKAT Moving Challenges, Winter Wellness Cup, and E-Gaming (supporting via, phone, text, email & Zoom). Next season starts in late March through the first week of June (Also Virtual). If safe and permissible, we hope to have in person sports starting in June sporting events TBA.
Typically, we do year round recreational sports. Locally, training and developing skills, than athletes go onto demonstrate their skills at Area, Regional & State Tournaments. Our next USA Games is scheduled for 2022 in June in Orlando, FL.
We serve ages 8 and up.

WISe (Wrap around intensive services) ages 5 to 21.
WISe is designed to surround at risk kids and their families with the intensive mental health assistance they need. WISe is highly customized for each individual and is available in home, and in convenient community settings.
Families participating in WISe work with trained professionals to help guide and drive all aspects of care, following a plan that builds on the kid’s and family’s strengths. WISe team members may include natural supports (such as family and friends) and professionals including school counselors.
Referrals for participation in the WISe program can be made by youth and their families, and from providers and community members. To refer or to request WISe services, please call the WISe Team at 360-404-4010 and request a “screen”. You will then be contacted by a WISe staff member to talk about whether WISe services are right for you.
