Tech for All: Technology Trends are Empowering Workers with Disabilities

The latest technology trends—especially Artificial Intelligence—are powerful tools that can empower people with disabilities by helping them learn new skills and adapt to the rapidly changing workplace.

In this presentation, we will explore the key technology trends of 2025 and demonstrate how they can be used support and empower workers with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Learn how to use these tools to foster a more inclusive, innovative, and successful workforce for everyone.

Presenter: Jenny Crook

Jenny Crook (she/her) brings over 12 years of experience in the field of Supported Employment, having served in various capacities such as job coach, employment consultant, and employment program manager. Her work and values significantly influence her approach to consulting and teaching. Jenny holds a BS in Sociology from Portland State University and considers herself a lifelong learner.

As a Senior Training & Technical Assistance Program Manager at Wise, Jenny trains for the Job Development and Marketing course of the Wise Online Academy 100 Series, coordinates the Wise Online Academy 200 Series, leads the Wise Webinar Series, manages various contracts, and provides hosting support for a variety of events. As a person-centered planning facilitator, she focuses on solutions while collaborating with national and international partners to promote equitable employment for all.

Nationally, Jenny served on the ACRE Board for four years, most recently as Clerk. She has presented at conferences such as APSE and Pac Rim, discussing topics related to person-centered planning and customized employment best practices.
