Oregon Transformation & Capacity Building
In the 2014-2019 Oregon Transformation and Capacity Building Project, Wise worked with 23 organizations with facility-based employment (sheltered workshops) and non-employment (day programs) seeking to shift to community-based supported and customized employment services. Wise completed an organizational assessment and strategic plan with each organization. A customized training and technical assistance plan followed.
Training and technical assistance focused on Leadership, Middle Management, Supported Employment Teams, boards, and Individuals and families/home supports. Examples included:

- Video resumes and video employment stories
- Assistive technology
- Community Mapping
- Managing remote teams
- Recruit, Train and Retain
- Change management
- Project management
- Goal Setting
- Networking and advocacy
- High performing culture
- Lean practices
- Large employer initiatives
- NEXT for people with disabilities and families/home supports
At the completion of the project, data was available through March 2019. The project was completed in December 2019. Outcomes identified by the completion of the project included:
- 75% of sheltered workshops closed
- 85% of people left sheltered employment
- 77% fewer people paid sub-minimum wages
- 162% growth in supported employment

Oregon On-Demand Project
Between 2018 and 2020, Wise worked with over 50 subject matter experts to create 32 on demand trainings for individuals and families/home supports, employment providers, and case managers. Each on demand was approximately an hour in length and included employment stories, interactivity, and knowledge checks. Accessibility and diversity were key focus areas. Additionally, Job Coaching live session guides for instructors and learners were developed.
